Despite a Challenging Childhood…
…fraught with unfortunate struggles of parental substance abuse and financial instability, Andrej has always had a strong Moral Compass, passionate about helping others and fighting for Justice — values instilled by his father, a first-generation Ukranian-American Lawyer and also graduate of UCLA who, despite his struggles with alcoholism, always had a reputation for generosity and putting others before himself.
As a teen, unaffordable rent forced Andrej into homelessness, living out of his car while he slowly took steps to find employment and eventually enroll at a California Public Community College, where he then transferred to UCLA to finish his bachelor’s degree in the top percentile of his graduating class.
Though he majored in pre-law Political Science at UCLA, Andrej eventually decided to pursue Technology and Software Engineering, as he preferred to build useful things for people, rather than argue mundane legal technicalities.

A Professional Career of Relevant Experience.
After college, Andrej spent several years in Hospitality, where he enjoyed using his talents to serve others and improve the experience of those he served, before transitioning to a career in Supply Chain Management with international import distribution networks, improving Operating Standards (SOPs) and building complex Business Intelligence systems to streamline processes for multi-national organizations serving hundreds of workers and clients.
Over the course of his career, Andrej learned how to code and build apps, and is highly proficient in the technical architecture and deployment of full-stack Enterprise-grade applications.
Now, at 40 years old, Andrej is passionate about using the tools, professional knowledge and experience he’s built over the years to give back to the City that helped him become who he is today, so that others might benefit as he did.
